How to take it
One softgel daily, with food. Taking fish oil alongside a meal containing some fat helps with absorption and reduces the chance of aftertaste.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking any prescription medication β particularly blood-thinning medication β or have an existing medical condition, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before use.
About the capsule
The softgel shell is made from fish gelatin, not bovine or porcine gelatin. This product is halal certified by NZIDT(New Zealand Islamic Development Trust), a certification body recognised by JAKIM. It is suitable for pescatarians, but not for vegetarians or vegans.

How much EPA and DHA does each softgel contain?
600 mg EPA and 300 mg DHA, from 1200 mg of concentrated fish oil β 900 mg of omega-3 per softgel.
How does this compare to a standard 1000mg fish oil?
A standard 1000 mg softgel is usually about 30% omega-3, giving roughly 180 mg EPA and 120 mg DHA. Nutrigo Omega 3 is concentrated to about 75%, so one softgel provides what would otherwise take three.
What's the difference between fish oil and EPA/DHA?
Fish oil is the oil itself. EPA and DHA are the omega-3 fatty acids within it. Two products can both state 1200 mg of fish oil while delivering very different amounts of EPA and DHA, so compare those figures rather than the headline number.
Is Nutrigo Omega 3 halal certified?
Yes, certified by NZIDT(New Zealand Islamic Development Trust), which is recognised by JAKIM. The softgel shell is made from fish gelatin rather than bovine or porcine gelatin.
Is it suitable for vegetarians or pescatarians?
It is suitable for pescatarians β both the oil and the capsule shell are fish-derived. It is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.
Will it cause fishy burps or aftertaste?
Taking the softgel with a meal rather than on an empty stomach usually prevents it. Keeping the bottle refrigerated also helps.
Which size should I buy?
The 60-softgel bottle is two months at one daily. The 120-softgel bottle is four months and works out cheaper per softgel.
How should I store it?
Store in a cool, dry place below 30Β°C. Refrigeration isn't required but can help reduce aftertaste. Keep out of direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Do not use if the seal is broken upon purchase.
