What does vitamin C do?
Vitamin C is necessary for healthy connective tissue, teeth, bones and blood vessels, and it enhances the absorption of iron from non-haem sources. It is water-soluble, so the body cannot store it and a daily intake is needed.
What does zinc do?
Zinc is an essential trace mineral and a component of many enzymes in the body. It is necessary for normal growth and development.
When is the best time to take it?
With or after food. Zinc can cause stomach discomfort on an empty stomach.
How do I take the liquid drops?
Ten drops daily in a beverage alongside a meal. Zinc has a strong taste, so milk, juice or a smoothie works better than water.
Are these halal certified?
Vitamin C 1000mg + Zinc is certified by NZIDT, recognised by JAKIM. Essence Zinc is vegan and made in New Zealand, but is not currently halal certified.
